Tea tree oil can help heal and prevent acne. There are a few things that can cause acne such as a poor diet, hormonal imbalances, overactive glands and blocked pores are the most common but certainly not the only causes of acne.
Acne is caused when the normal skin bacteria are affected by one or more of the above listed causes. Everyone has bacteria in their skin, even people who follow a very healthy diet and scrub their faces clean twice a day can get acne.
Types of Acne
There are several types of acne, from the mildest form, a blackhead which is simply a blockage in the pore, to more severe types of acne such as whiteheads which trap the oil in the skin and appear to have white pus in it (which is exactly what it is.) Pustules or pimples are caused from a blockage of oil, dirt, or bacteria that is trapped on the skin itself. This type of acne starts out as a red bump and turns white after a few days and the white pus becomes noticeable. This type of acne can cause scarring and infection. The most severe form of acne is known as cysts; these are large, deep, infected areas of the skin.
Tea Tree Oil and Acne
Tea tree oil is very beneficial for preventing, resolving and fighting acne. Tea tree oil has the three main medicinal properties in it, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral; these three elements make up most of the common causes of all infections.
Seeing that acne can be caused by one or all three of those properties, it’s necessary to use a product that can fight all three, which tea tree oil can do.

Hi, My name is Stephanie Phillips and I'm definitely hooked on my tea tree oil products.
I'm just a regular wife and mom of 3 kids and I was absolutely horrified to learn that the household
products that I previously used like the typical cleaners, soap, shampoo, toothpaste,
cosmetics, lotions, etc. all contain chemicals that have been linked to cancer and other
diseases! I made the decision to use safer products and I hope you will too. The internet can be so impersonal, so feel free to call me with any questions - 813-943-4268. Leave a message and I'll call you right back if I'm not brushing teeth, cooking, giving baths, etc. You know how it is! Be sure to ask me about my daughter's eczema when we talk.
